The Kandaakiat Organization for Women Empowerment and Development, in collaboration with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), is proud to announce the ongoing Urban Savings and Loan Associations (USLA) Methodology Training as part of the Rebuild project. This initiative aims to enhance the financial literacy and economic stability of our beneficiaries, fostering a sustainable future for women in our communities.
Activities and Progress
The training involves a series of comprehensive activities designed to equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary for effective financial management. Key activities include:
- Identification of Beneficiaries: Carefully identify women in need to ensure that the most vulnerable and deserving individuals receive support.
- Registration and Placement: Registering beneficiaries and placing them into appropriate groups for tailored financial training and support.
- Distribution of Savings Books: Each participant receives a savings book to track their contributions and monitor their savings progress.
- Provision of Savings Boxes and Padlocks: Secure savings boxes and padlocks are provided to ensure the safety of the participants’ savings, encouraging trust and confidence in the savings process.
Impact and Future Prospects
The USLA Methodology Training is more than just a financial program; it is a step towards empowering women to take control of their financial future. By participating in this training, women gain valuable skills in savings, loan management, and financial planning, paving the way for greater economic independence and resilience.
We are excited about the positive changes this training is bringing to our community and look forward to seeing the continued growth and success of our participants. Together with IRC, we remain committed to supporting women in building a brighter and more secure future.
